Cotton Strings

Hello!  My name is Diana, and I welcome you to my little corner of the blog world!

I am a nurse by day, and a quilter by night.  I am the  mother of four grown sons, two of whom have blessed me with three grandchildren!  :-)  I am also a professional photographer. 

I learned to sew when I was about ten years old.  My mother and grandmother were both excellent seamstresses, and both were avid quilters.  I guess it was just natural for me to become a quilter...it's in my roots!  :-)

Why did I start a blog?  I'd like to share my work with others in hopes that it may inspire them to get into quilting, or finish those UFO's that are hanging around the house.  I'd also like to someday become a pattern designer.  I've already designed several quilts myself, so I guess the next step is to actually get them "out there".  Kinda scarey!!  Ha!
